Introduction


I have put together a collection of links for those people that need helping on map making tools, banners, skins, and etc. This is the list that works ONLY for Windows! Visit my Channel for the Mac Version!

1) MCEdit [Cross-Platform]: The Greatest Editing Program for Minecraft. This program allows for over the top editing. Have you ever wanted to move things around or import another build into your specific world, well now you can. You can use filters found all over the web, in which they allow you to do very unique and custom things in Minecraft, such as colored text, enlarge objects, flip, and etc.

2) WorldPainter [Cross-Platform]: WorldPainter is an interactive map generator for Minecraft. It allows you to "paint" landscapes using similar tools as a regular paint program. Sculpt and mould the terrain, paint materials, trees, snow and ice, etc. onto it, and much more. In other words, its a custom terrain generator.

3) MCDungeon [Cross-Platform]: This program which allows you to generate replace preexisting dungeons in your Minecraft world with better looking land and random loot chests.

4) Revise [Cross-Platform]: This program is an exterior editing program for the books in Minecraft. It was made for signed books, but unsigned will work, too. It can also convert back and forth between the two versions, signed and unsigned. It also allows for more options while editing books. The two key options are title formatting and author changing. However, it also can edit many other aspects of the book item.

5a) ImageToMap [Windows/Linux]: The name speaks for itself. Its a program that allows any image uploaded turned into a map that can be used in your Minecraft world.

5b) MC Map Item Tool [Website]: This is an alternative website that has the same function as ImageToMap, but uses an HTML format.

6) INVedit 2.0 [Windows]: This program allows you to edit any players inventory even on multiplayer. It can allows you to edit item names, give them lores, edit books, and etc.

7) NBTExplorer [Windows]: NBTExplorer is a low-level graphical NBT data editor originally based on NBTedit. The key difference is NBTExplorer's full support for Minecraft .mcr/.mca region files, a directory-tree interface for easily exploring multiple worlds, and support for the latest NBT standard. NBTExplorer is built on top of Substrate.

8) Minecraft Note Block Studio [Windows]: This program allows you to import your music into Minecraft Note Blocks, playing your favorite music in Minecraft.

9a) MCSkin3D [Windows]: MCSkin3D is both a skin management and skin editing tool. It holds all of your skins in a convenient place, lets you manage them from within the program, and even lets you upload your skin directly to Minecraft.net without ever needing to open a browser.

9b) Nova Skin [Website]: This is an alternative website that has almost the same function as MCSkin3D, but uses an HTML format.

10) Cravatar.eu [Website]: Cravatar.eu is a simple and reliable web service that serves the head of an Minecraft.net players skin to use it as an avatar image or perspective head for your websites, projects, etc.

11) Magic Launcher [Cross-Platform]: Magic Launcher is a new Minecraft launcher which can load mods dynamically without changing or patching the minecraft.jar. No more mod installation problems, just select your mods and enjoy.

12) MCPatcher [Cross-Platform]: This program is an alternative to Optifine, it's just an alternative program that does similar things.

13) Chunky [Cross-Platform]: This program renders your world for it to have a 3D feel to it. Check the link for a Great example!

14) ResoursePack Workbench [Cross-Platform]: ResourcePack Workbench, or RPW, is a tool to make creation of Resource Packs easier. It is a java application, just like Minecraft, so it should run everywhere - Windows, Linux, Mac. It lets you easilly combine packs, create new ones, edit texts and images etc (with the help with external editors, or for texts, the built-in one). RPW comes with a Project system, so you can work on more packs at once, and keep them in separate folders.
