So, I have been on a few servers lately involving PvP, and since im quite good at it I get called a hacker! Also, I believe "hacker" is the wrong word to be using when accusing someone of cheating! Infact, this is what this blog post is about: How to use the word and all about it! Sorry PMC if is started a rant

What does the word mean?

The word "hacker" can mean many things, for example it could be used as a verb or meant in the sense that someone is hacking (cheating) by dirtily fouling you in football. There is only one solid meaning in minecraft - actually hacking a server. And I mean like breaking it.

What does the community use it for?

Unfortunatley, the minecraft community uses it in a sense of a joke! Sometimes players say people are hackers because they are lagging or good at minecraft ; but the main meaning is cheating! So why not use the word "Cheating" instead of "Hacking"? Does it make players feel cooler? Does it make the victim feel depressed or sorry for themselves? And the victim could possibly be a hacker that didnt intend to hurt the server in the first place and DDOS the server! BOOM! Your favourite server down the drain all because you called that guy a hacker. Another reason you could be called a hacker can be to do with the fact that you beat the player thats accusing you of hacking in a minigame and he is too stubborn to admit that you are legit.

What it should be used for?

It should be used for calling people actual hackers! People who actually hack computers E.T.C! Not for joking around with because thats mis-information!

I hope you found this blog post useful, diamond, favourite and subscribe please! Also, post any posotive/negative comment below! Have a great day!

Alot of the time people call others hackers or noobs because they are too stuck-up and stubborn to belive that someone could accualy be better than them. Even though they are alot of the time, people who haven't played minecraft that much and just have watched alot of hunger games or whatever on youtube and then think therethe best because they "know everything how to pvp." Or they just play on small servers with only a few players that aren't that good and then when they play on a big server or a good player comes to their server they think they're the best and when there beat they're minds can't get around the fact that they were beat, so they just claim them to be a hacker, when in reality there just more experianced.

Hacking refers to altering the purpose and build of any project.  Often when we think hackers out of minecraft we assume an intelligent criminal breaking through layers of security.  While this may be the case, the term hacking is more broad than that as I mentioned earlier.  In minecraft, the "hackers" have altered their own client, allowing more room for personalization.  While they aren't breaking passed large security walls, they've changed the original project from what it was intended.  Unique blog, players could say "client-hacker" instead, though I doubt with a swift and lazy society we have that likely won't happen.
