Watermelons!

I've recently pondered over one specific topic, watermelons. In vanilla Minecraft, the texture of a piece of melon appears as a half-circle. Nothing seems wrong there until you realize that the full melon is a block, not a sphere. There are no curves just corners. However the common meme of cubed water melons in Japan is true, the same logic does not apply in Minecraft. The melon block would have to be grown in a spherical shape and then pistoned until the correct shaped could be obtained. Then, however, the melon block would break under pressure. This can be seen through red-stone melon farms that use the pistons to break the melon block. So in Minecraft, melons defy basic gardening physics.
