What if we poured water on the sun? Short answer, we could die. Long answer, it’s quite complicated.

In a nutshell, if we had a cup of water big enough to extinguish a fire the size of the sun, well, its not what you think. Fire needs fuel and air to exist, but air isnt a thing in space, and water cant stop the nuclear fusion of the sun. But what is nuclear fusion? I talk about it in another blog. anyways, the more mass a star has, the hotter and brighter it gets, and pouring water on the sun gives it more mass, and the sun would glow 6 times brighter! Now the problem… it would also create a second star twice the size of the sun. That means we would have way more heat and sunlight than usual, and we would probably burn to death.
