To make a good skin takes work, effort and skill. However getting your skin out there takes luck. What do I mean by this? Well I've been playing Minecraft for 2 years now and have allot of experience with Minecraft skins and trust me I can identify a good Minecraft skin to a bad one. Over my time on PMC I've seen allot of skins that haven't been that popular however one or two of them are surprisingly good. But why are they at the bottom of the lists? It's due to you gotta be unique! I see the same skins again and again and bores me, it just says "Why should I choose that skin if there are 20 of the same skin bellow". By this I don't mean people are stealing skins I mean people are not making new unique ideas! The more unique it is the more it gets recognised! Shading is also a very important aspect of skinning however you gotta watch out how you use shading and for what sort of category you are aiming to do it for. Alright by this I mean if your doing a more cartoony skin don't do too much shading. You use shading to make it more realistic! To conclude this article Ill end with the main aspects you should look at before publishing your skin.
