Hello Squid-heads, how are all you doing? I am back with a new blog, and i will be talking about PMC.
PMC is a very unique website. I have only been here for 1 month and this has helped me get closer to minecraft. In some cases i call it the Facebook of minecraft. Now, PMC is great and not so great. I am not trying to say the website is bad just what people post. I have seen many blogs about random stuff that have nothing to do with minecraft. For example I have seen a blog about a random story about a boy going to burger king. WHAT BURGER KING THIS IS P-M-C PLANETMINECRAFT NOT PLANET BURGER KING. Sorry for the rage, but i was pretty unhappy with that blog.
Well, blogs are not the only thing you can do on PMC there are also the ability to upload projects. Now projects is the ultimate way to show people your minecraft creations. I have seen amazing projects that would take me years to make and still it would stink. Those projects deserve to get diamonds and comment and favorites and downloads. I saw one project that i just downright went "facepalm." I mean there was one creation that i saw before i joined PMC that was called block, it was just one peice of dirt that you spawn on and it says "Survive or Die." I downloaded it to see the stupidity and it was a skyblock challenge. It was impossible to survive. That project the user says "this is one of the projects i made for my brother and he is best at minecraft and i hope he liked it. Diamond and Subscribe if you want more amazing projects like this!" I was now laughing hoping it was a joke. And I looked at the comments and there was one comment it said "best skymap ever" This is how my reaction was to reading that 8D and then i was like "-_- i think he is serious." The project had 4 diamonds. 4 diamonds why? Why? WHY? that is the kind of work that probably took 5 min to make. And 4 diamonds! AHHHHHHHHHHH!
Moving on, Skins now get comfortable because i got a lot to say. Skins oh the great art of minecraft called skinning. It is a craft that some people have. Other (like me) not so much. Now making a skin (wait scratch that) Making a good skin is a great craft now making a unshaded no effort *cough* teenage *cough slenderman *cough* copied *cough skin. Those skins take no effort. They are a wast of PMC space (its just my opinion please don't hate :) PMC skin area is a place for great skinners that make amazing skins to show off a little and get known as "One Of The Great Skinners Of Minecraft" (that's what i call them). Now, if you are like me, not good at skinning, not good at shading, not good at computer art (i can draw just not on the computer). Please do not post a skin that is "bad." Now I'm not saying that unshaded skins are bad, I have seen many unshaded skins but the skin idea was original and creative, people gave the creator tips on shading or links to places where you can learn shading. Shading for me is like a pizza topping or sprinkles on ice-cream . They give the pizza and ice-cream and extra flavor. So to all you skinners i have one message. Please only post original and creative work. I'm sure if you do that people will sub.
Now to the Texture Packs. Oh, Texture packs a great thing to the game of minecraft. They add a little greatness to minecraft a little something extra to "your" minecraft. Each person has a different Texture pack or share a awesome Texture Pack. Now making a texture pack. You got to have an idea a great art skill, and more (sorry i don't know much about texture packing :P) Making a texture pack is a great craft and can be a great "curse"....Im joking its not a curse it can just turn out bad. Example Title: awesomecraft picture: one texture changed Percent bar: 100%. I know that probably doesn't happen but if you are gonna post 1 different texture. It better be the most epic dirt peice or wood texture ever of be a texture pack that people can add to. All i ask is make full texture packs. Update them and put your "all into them :)."
Last but defiantly not least Modding. Oh modding minecraft adds so much to the game. From new creatures to amazing in game machines, minecraft modding adds a lot to the game. (now i'm know nothing about modding so i cant write a lot about it, but i have one thing to say.) Make it a really original and creative mod not something that was already made and really poorly done.
All of these are my opinions but i bet when Cyprezz made PMC he thought that everything posted should/will be amazing. I just wanted to point out this now instead of PMC losing to this unoriginal posts.
