Hello fellow Minecrafters this tutorial will tell you about some good items to bring when mining!
If you just started a new world I suggest making a wood pickaxe to gather enough stone to make
a full set of stone tools.
You should only need one set of stone tools if you got the stone from a nearby cave. When you start to really explore the cave you should fine iron. Upon finding iron go ahead and make a furnace and smelt the iron to make iron tools. If you already have iron bring 3 iron pickaxes and 3 iron shovels. Also 2 iron swords would be great. If you have diamond tools 1 of each is just fine.
4 stacks of coal lasts a while when on a mining trip. You need 1 stack of sticks and 1 stack of coal to make.
Bring a stack of sticks and a stack of wood in case you need more torches crafted.
A stack of dirt or cobble even both is great to bring in order to make bridges, fill up lava, stop water flow and to hide from mobs.
A half stack or more of any food is good for keeping your hunger up.
A bow and arrow is good for situations when you cant hit that pesky little skeleton with a sword or that creeper over there hasn't spotted you yet.
Get a boat in case you plan on traveling far for mining because ocean will show up eventually.
Once again if you just started a new world get some leather armor and quickly find enough iron to make iron armor.
Optional items: These items are not needed when mining but you might want to take them anyways.
A clock so that you don't leave your cave only to be in a field at night filled with creepers, zombies and skeletons!
A bucket of water for just in case you fell into a lava pit and you don't wanna die.
When 1.3 comes out an ender chest would be very useful for when you run out of room or your on fire and dont wanna lose your stuff
Signs to place in your cave saying "go that way" in case you get lost.
You can use other things to mark the path back home.
I hope you will consider this list of items for when you are about to go mining again in Minecraft! If you found this helpful leave a comment or give me a diamond. Thanks!
