The Poppy is actually a retextured and renamed Rose. Same goes with locked chest being replaced by stained glass.
Naming a mob "Dinnerbone" OR "Grumm" will make it upside-down as of 1.6.
Naming a sheep "jeb_" will make it fade through every wool color in the game as of 1.7.
When it is near Halloween, zombies, skeletons, and even zombie pigmen will sometimes spawn with a pumpkin on their head.
In the texture files for the zombie pigman, you can see the words "THX XAPHOBIA," and for those who don't know, XaPhobia is the original creator of the zombie pigman's skin.
In Pocket Edition, zombie pigmen are already hostile and have no "flesh" layer on their heads, so all you can see on their heads is their skull.
When the sounds of the "disc 11" disc are run through a spectrogram, a face can be seen. Some say it's either Herobrine, Steve, or a creeper.
On Christmas Eve, Christmas day, and the day after Christmas, the chest textures are changed to presents.
If you were to delete all splashes there were in Minecraft, a splash that says "missingno" will appear where all splashes appear.
