Hi everyone!
This blog/article is about playing on public servers!
Many people enjoy playing on public servers and others do not!
I for one use public servers mostly for minigames and pvp like survival games and arcade games.
This is because it is hard to trust others that you don't know with your things that you have spent a long time collecting on it and then the chance of getting griefed is high so you don't want have that stuff destroyed!
I also don't like playing vanilla minecraft on servers because there can be lots of spamming in the chat and that can get annoying even if you can put the opacity of chat to low.
But since the more outspoken/awareness of the EULA agreement, I think that many servers will be more fun since people won't have as OP extra kits that help kill others easier in lets say survival games. Those who play a lot should get benefits yes, but I think those who are just beginning should also have the same chance of winning games!
Therefore I think it is essential for games with kits that there should be a ranking system.
Players from lets say 1-10 should not be playing with players 30-40 levels higher than them. One because they have more experience and two they have more chance of beating you with their OP kits.
So if that were implemented into a server that could afford it, it would make a lot more fun!
Also why some don't play on servers is because there can be bullies on them especially in pvp.
Some person who could be OP with lots of armor could pick on a lower developed player and make them lose all their stuff as soon as they get up They could also say mean things to them in /msg private msging them but thats what mods are for on servers to help look out for that and ban those who are being mean to lower players!
But on another topic, servers like modded ones, or vanilla that you have to apply for have less chance of griefers, and bullies, therefore giving more leverage to the fun that can be had on it, and the more time spent on it to be worthwhile!
So all in all, be careful if you are going on public servers, stay safe, if people are bullying you then tell a moderator, and moderators should look out for others and help them out!
Thanks for reading this article and I hope I gave you owners some insight on running a server!
Have a good one
