Simply my first short story I am going to put here. It features my characters Miriam and Percy meeting a certain Witch during the Annual 2017 Festival. I hope you enjoy the (attempt at a) MC fanstory. Please note that this story includes several things not in the game and I had written this purely for fun.

Characters:
Just a List of Major Ones in the Story Hehe
Miriam Emerlis
- Physical Appearance
- Player, 16 Y/O, and Crafter.

Perseus "Percy" Adonis
- Physical Appearance
- Player, 18 Y/O, and Explorer.

Hazel Agelaide
- Physical Appearance
- Testificate, 818 Y/O, and Witch.

Some Interesting Facts to not Confuse You:
Title of Expandable Spoiler
- Gaia is the Planet this version of Minecraft is set on, Minecraftia is the city, and the Overworld is the plane of reality this is in.
- The current years = number names of major updates in Minecraft Java Edition (2018 = 1.19, 2017 = 1.18, 2016, = 1.17, 2015 = 1.16). Although their in-universe equivalent are Expedition Logs, or regular updates on discovered phenomena in Gaia and may or may not correlate exactly with the in-game update they are named after. There is also so much more stuff within each year discovered.
- Players in my headlore = A group of people descended from humanity/the ancient builders/the previous civilization.
- My version of Minecraft is not in a Medieval-esque time period, but more like a post-apocalyptic wasteland where advanced technology is scarce and somewhat resembles medieval fantasy era-kinda stuff, but also with a mix of modern and 19th century tech.

The Plot:

Le Story :)
It was another festival held in the Minecraftia City Centre, trees were decorated with lights, thousands of stands hosted by various vendors and storytellers that traveled thousands of blocks to get to here, and music was playing in the background as two friends looked around. Miriam grinned at the lights, while Percy continuously looked at his map while following her, and both scanned the area for a stand. "Hmmm, I already went to the honey stand that my elder sister, Naomi, who is a beekeeper, runs, the book stand, ran by my favorite author, and the building stand, to go grab the latest Book with updated Crafting Recipes. Where else should we go, Percy?" Miriam said. Percy turned to her "Hmmm... I would go suggest heading to the crafting stand but it looks like you already had been there." before shrugging. Miriam thought for a moment before heading toward a Carpenter toward the entrance.
"Hey! Would you like to suggest a place for us to head to?! This is my first time attending a Convention!" Miriam raised her voice. The Villager looked at her, and turned to the other direction. Miriam continued searching before spotting a Stand with a sign that marked "New" and is titled "The Agelaide Guild Recruit Station", with a Witch sitting at the stand. Miriam's eyes widened and she thought to herself in confusion "Wait a minute, I thought Minecraftia barred Hostile Mobs from holding Stands during the Convention? How the". Miriam stepped toward the Recruit Station and turned toward the Witch. "Hello there, how did you get your stand approved? Aren't Witches Hostile Magic-Users?" Miriam asked. The Witch nodded her head and replied "Hello there, my name is Hazel. Welcome to the Signing Up station for the organization that I had been running since 800 years ago. The group is meant to be a social one where witches of all backgrounds, sizes, and shapes regularly engage in brewing, trade magic charms and enchanted items, talk about the mythical beasts of the world, and thaumaturgy. I am not sure what you meant by 'unapproved', this stand had been here since Witches had been known to the public. We are not an aggressive group of evil witches, but rather an entire organization of elite witches wanting to inform everyone on what they actually are. Any other questions?". Miriam thought for a moment as she spotted various potions, brewing stands, magic books, and the painting of a few witches apart of Hazel's group before an idea stuck her. "So, if I join this group, I get to brew more potions? I did it a few times as a kid and would like to improve my crafting skills. I also have a friend who might be interested, he is an expert in Geology, Spelunking, and Enchanting, can I take a moment to go get him?" Hazel shook her head, "Yes, just take your time Lovely."
Miriam headed towards Percy and tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey, I found a stand we can head to?". Percy turned towards her, "Oh? Who runs the stand and what do they do?" he asked her. Miriam took Percy toward the Witch Recruit Stand and showed it to him. He glanced at it and turned to Miriam. "I don't remember that stand being there before, then again the positions of each one change every year and some stands have been removed from rotation to make room for newer ideas. I had read every one of the newspapers and there had been nothing of this one until the Festival of 2017, or this year. Perhaps Witches being changed from being considered a single species to a group of many is one of the things introduced in the 1.18 Log Update." Hazel turned to Percy, "Hello there, I'm Hazel, the founder of the Agelaide Guild. Here we engage in brewing, trade magic charms and enchanted items, talk about the mythical beasts of the world, and thaumaturgy. Interested in joining?". Percy thought for a moment and looked around, "Hmmm.. is this a recent stand? Sounds quite suspicious and I think you are going to scam us into becoming your food". Hazel grinned "Thanks for asking, I had been running this stand since the Festival for the 1.4.2 Log Update in 2003. This is not in fact new, just that you are one of the few people to come here with only my great friend Octavia, and other members Basil, Harmony, and Sally having joined in the last 10 years." Percy thought for a few more minutes before deciding to come up to her, "So would this grant me more knowledge on caves, I had been dying to find some of the more hard-to-reach caves and it would be cool to improve my electrokinesis, as well." Hazel grinned and handed the two scrolls and two handbooks, "These are the scrolls you need to fill in before returning them to me. Be sure to read everything in the handbook before filling out the papers and signing your names before turning them in to me".
Miriam glanced at the scroll and opened up the handbook. The writing in the handbook was in a neatly done cursive and in ink, while the scroll appeared to be printed with text appearing to look closer to modern documents. She flipped the pages in the handbook and tried to read the text, but couldn't read any of it outside a few words. "I can't read a thing in the handbook" Miriam commented. Percy turned toward her "I have completely read the handbook and it talks about the etiquette, dress code, and schedule times." Before writing it down in print in one of his spare journals for Miriam to read. Afterward, both fill out their forms and then sign each of them to hand them back to Hazel. "Wonderful! We will meet at the Agelaide Academy for the Training Period next Wednesday. Come again, my two children." Hazel waved at the two, and Percy stared at Miriam after walking back to where they had been "So, I will be heading back to my stand that I rented a few hours ago, see you later Miri". Miriam waved and went toward the auditorium. Upon heading back to his stand, a man dressed in a thick, black coat stood where Percy was for the last few hours, brown gloves on his hands, fancy boots on his feet, and a face-obscuring bird-like mask. His glowing, white eyes jotted at Percy, and pulled something out his bag: a jar containing a bright magenta fluid. "Greetings I am Dr. Sullivan and I would like to introduce thou to the Miracle Cure", Dr. Sullivan handed Percy a jar of the substance. "It will cure any known ailment and I assure thou very well, that thou electro-manipulation sickness shall be vanquished from thy Soul." Percy glared at Dr. Sullivan "I'm sorry but this was my Stand!". Dr. Sullivan shook his head "I am afraid no one was running, besides are you a little too young to be doing this, Sir?" Percy got out his netherite sword only for the Doctor to be looking around as the bell rang and declared "It is getting dark, sorry for the inconvenience" as he packed his bag and ran off. Percy grabbed his backpack and placed it on to leave the centre and headed toward his horse to mount it, and exited the area.
