Player Tracker


This datapack uses the compass to track other players in your world
Made for Minecraft Java Edition 1.17

Information:


The closest player to you will be tracked by default. Players can be tracked in the Overworld, Nether and End dimensions.

Usage:

View main menu:/trigger pt.menu

View information:/trigger pt.info

View a menu of players you can track:While holding the tracking compass in your main hand
Look towards the ground
Right click



PLayer Tracker GUI

View a list of players you can track:/trigger pt.player_list

Get a compass:/trigger pt.get_compass

Uhh can you track multiple players with multiple compasses with this datapack? I haven't tried it yet but I'm asking just to be sure

Each player can only track 1 other player each at a time.
Although if the compass is not in your hotbar or offhand, then it will not be updated, so you could track someones location then move it to you inventory to save that location.

Would you consider making a messager alert someone when they are being tracked? I think that would be cool for SMPs. Thanks for considering!

When you die it drops the compass is there a way to make it not drop but all of your loot drops? Because I'm trying to make a manhunt and its hard because I have to give the hunters the compass every time I kill them.
