[LOOKING FOR HELP WITH THE CUSTOM DIMENSION, MAKE A COMMENT FOR MORE INFO]
Starting with 1.16.2, I plan on creating a datapack & resourcepack that adds the aether dimension to the vanilla game. (Based on aether legacy, not aether 2). No existing blocks or items are replaced, only new ones are added. More info coming soon!
Currently, most blocks are not obtainable in survival, as this is nowhere near complete. Type /function block: and use tab complete to give yourself the blocks.
