Mycology
Mycology is a datapack for the Origins mod by Apace. This datapack adds 3 new Origins that were designed and developed by me, based on various kinds of either fictional or real kinds of fungi.

Origins and their powers
Distorter - Click to reveal
Sapient mushfolk born with the ability to distort space.
Impact: 3

[=] Corrupted Spores
You grew among the fungi in the Warped Forests, located in the Nether, making that biome your natural spawn.
[-] Warped Physiology
You have 3 less hearts. Running and jumping consume Stamina. When your Stamina depletes, you'll be crippled until it recharges.
When you lose any amount of Stamina, Stamina gain will be disabled for 3 seconds.
[A] Spore Blink
[Primary] warps you to a position within 32 blocks at the cost of Stamina.
Impact: 3

[Primary] warps you to a position within 32 blocks at the cost of Stamina.
[A] Spatial Twist
Using [Secondary] spends Stamina to place a loud, invisible Distortion Point where you stand, warping anything in that space to another random Distortion Point.
Distortion points expire if:
- There is no ground below
- Their owner is too far away
- A fourth distortion point is placed
- They age for 1 minute (5 minutes if on warped foliage)
Distortion points can be placed wherever you're looking (up to 64 blocks) if you're using a Spyglass.
[=] Spatial Mirror
When you are attacked, you will swap positions with the creature who attacked you, after a short delay.
[+] Decompose
You can consume Warped Fungi (while sneaking), Stew, and monster parts with increased benefit, and no status effects.
After consuming a Warped Fungus, you will randomly teleport within 10 blocks, gain food, and gain stamina
[+] Nativity
While in the Nether, you sprint 15% faster, and exhaust 20% slower.
[-] Homesick
You cannot rest, or set your spawn in the overworld.

Sapient mushfolk that use their melanin to absorb radiation.
Impact: 2

[=] Ionization
Radiation exposure causes you to absorb it.
Radiation is increased by the following:
- Absorbing XP
- Proximity to end crystals
- Contact with Irradiated mobs
- Drinking any potion
- Taking damage
While Irradiated or at full Radiation, gaining more Radiation will instead apply Irradiated or increase its duration.
[A] Radiosynthesis
[Primary] consumes Radiation; this feeds you, heals you, and uses excess Radiation to Irradiate you.
[A] Detoxification
By using [Primary] while Irradiated, you expel the status and spread it to others.
[A] Gamma Beam
You can hold [Secondary] to fire stored Radiation as a beam of focused radiation with high knockback and recoil, spreading Radiation where it lands.
[+] Extreme Matter
You are immune to most debuffs involving sickness, and very resistant to debuffs from Irradiated.
Effect Immunities:
- Hunger
- Mining Fatigue
- Nausea
- Poison
- Slowness
- Wither
[=] Viral Infection
While Irradiated you spread a trail of effect clouds with your symptoms.
[-] Radio-Dependence
You cannot eat food or heal naturally.
[-] Unwise
You gain 10% less experience.
[STA] Irradiated
This effect is only applied through some of your mechanics, and weakens any creature affected.
While Irradiated:
- Your vision is impaired
- You take damage over time
- You glow a sickly-green color.
- You take more attack damage.
- Some of your stats gradually decrease
Due to Immunocompromised, Radiotrophs experience reduced or nullified versions of most symptoms.
Drinking milk will cure this disease.

An extremely round, balloon-like mushfolk.

Incoming attacks knock you back much farther, and you rapidly rise in water..
[-] Imperfectly Rotund
You're unable to roll and too round to walk or glide, being unable to move on land or equip an Elytra.
[-] Acrophobia
You cannot gain air at high altitudes.
[-] Easy Pop
You have 3 less hearts than normal. If you take damage, you'll lose all your air.
After losing your stored air, you cannot gain air or survive long falls for 7 seconds.
