Cauldrons Are Bad.

What do they do? Hold 3 bottles worth of water? AMAZING! They need an update, so I took it upon myself to do so, introducing, "Better Cauldrons".

With this datapack the new features of the cauldron will include:


  • The ability to store lava
  • The ability to store potions
  • When a player is standing in a cauldron with a stored potion, that player will get that potion effect
  • When right-clicking a potion filled cauldron with an arrow you will "dip" the arrow creating a dipped arrow of that potion

That sounds much better, doesn't it! It now has a use that makes it worth it to make other than for a redstone timing. Now currently I didn't add all the potions capable with this new feature, but here are the ones that work (must use the long varent):


  • Regeneration
  • Strength
  • Weakness
  • Slow Falling
  • Invisibility
  • Jump boost
  • Water breathing
  • Poison
  • Fire Resistance
For this to work in your world simply install the datapack and place a cauldron at least 1 block away from another cauldron (and not on top of another cauldron) and you are done!

You can't, and anyway it's a datapack not a resourcepack.
