WARNING: This addon datapack requires the original New In Town data pack to be installed in your world.

It works in 1.17 and contains the 1.17 recipe books, but the easy builder books only can build 1.16 structures.

Better Devbox

To get the box, run the function devbox in the better dev folder. (/function betterdev:devbox)

This addon overhauls the devbox to add many new features and items. This is meant to be used in creative, and not if you are playing New In Town in a survival world. Along with the normal music discs and permits, and special items the devbox normally contains, this adds some new items such as:

Easy Builder Books:
(Kindoms, Castle, Railway, Counteroffensive, Nether Keep, Refugee)

These new books are in the bottom row of the devbox, and provide an easy way to test and build structures. Inside the books are all of the structures of that stage, listed in the book. To build them just stand near a site planner, and click the text in the Easy Builder Book. Every single structure in the original New In Town datapack is included, you wont see any structures brought possible through addons.

Spawn Eggs
(Scout, Solider, Guard, Ranger, Invader, General)

These spawn eegs come in a shulker in the top left of the devbox. They allow you to spawn the mobs that appear in invasions, through Kindoms, Counteroffensive and the Invasion, with all the same nbt data.

Recipe Books
(Settlement Site, Railway, Castle Wing, Counteroffensive, Nether Keep, End City)

These recipe books are located in a shulker in the top row, one from the left. They have all the recipe books the the starter villages would trade to you, so if you find you need one, you don't have to get a feather and locate the villager again.

A wooden shovel, enchanted with sharpness, allowing you to one hit kill every mob (even the ender dragon!) by giving them a wack. And, a head of our god, Kanokarob.
