This datapack is a full rewrite of my older datapack Higher Nether Roof-256 blocks (outdated) which was one of the first ever datapacks that made the Nether higher than 128 blocks (yes, even before Starmute made his 1.18 Amplified Nether datapack/mod).
I've spent the last month working this datapack and making it absolutely perfect. Unlike the old version this one is fully glitchless and works perfectly with Minecraft 1.19+. This version also contains a different world generation so the nether will look amazing.
I personally suggest using either the 192 block version or the 256 block version but there are other ones as well. This is because the higher you go the worse performance you get and it also makes the world file a lot bigger.
WARNING: If you are using a varaint which makes the nether higher than 256 blocks you risk losing everything built/generated higher than 256 blocks when updating or removing the datapack. If you wish to update your world/remove the datapack without riksing this you have to use a datapack which modifies the nether world height. I will publish a datapack which does that every time a new incompatible version comes out.

Check out my other datapacks.
The 1.18.2 and 1.18(1) Backports are now live!
I have compiled this datapack into a fabric mod.

The first is that there isn't any of the soulsand/gravel layer that normal generates at sea-level (at least for the 256 version, haven't checked anything else). It makes the areas near the lava feel a bit bland and weird compared to normal, but not that big of a deal.
The second is in regards to 3d biomes. Making the biomes 3d in the nether is actually incredibly simple, as you can just modify the "vegetation" and "temperature" y_scale to not be 0.0 (0.25 to make it change at the same rate as the horizontal scale, but higher could be more interesting).
Keep up the good work :D
The second thing: Why didn't I think of that. That is incredibly simple yet genius. I will be rolling out an experimental version with the 3D biomes after I'm done tweaking the values to my liking.
Huge thanks for you feedback.
Edit: The 3D biomes experimental version has been published. Link: www.planetminecraft.com/data-pack/better-nether-generation-3d-biomes-experimental/
Edit: The mod/datapack list would also help in determining the cause.
I might implement that in the future because 3D biome generation would be really cool in the nether.
interestingly, even mine wasn't first: www.planetminecraft.com/data-pack/taller-nether-v1-0-make-the-nether-generate-255-blocks-high/
The thing is that I've seen many people think that your amplified nether 1.18 datapack/mod was the first.
Anyway I fixed the description.
