    I just added some boomerangs into minecraft.

    enchantments that work with boomerangs: Unbreaking, Mending.

    then just right click to throw it and right click to catch it. thats it. have fun.

    Good in theory, horrible in execution. I'm currently using on 1.18.1 so it is possible that. However, after crafting it i noticed it has a range of 15-20 blocks. Your better using your sword at that range. Secondly, it doesn't go back to the place you threw it from, instead a couple of blocks behind that position. And so while the animation isn't horrible it could be a bit less wide it looks more like its spiraling out of control than a smooth clean flight. And so while i really like the idea here there's alot of fine-tuning that needs done. I would personally say a range of 50-75 blocks after all that's where you want your ranged targets to be. Even if you move i think the boomer rang should come back to you (like loyalty on a trident)

    are you sure you are doing everything correct? the crafting recipe works only with oak planks.
