Inspired by the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, this datapack introduces one new structure to your world: the Shrine! Don't be fooled by its simple exterior, however; descend the ladder and you'll be met with one of 10 unique chambers to test your strength against waves of different mobs! If you're lucky- or perhaps unlucky, if you're not geared up enough- you might come upon the challenging boss chamber and do battle with one of 5 custom bossfights!
Shrines can generate in any Overworld biome that isn't an ocean, beach, or river, and they're approximately as rare as Trial Chambers are. They have full compatibility with both Terralith and Cliff Under a Tree biomes as well! They consist of a surface entrance, a room with beds and chests to set your spawnpoint or store any junk, a main chamber containing trial spawners for a variety of mobs, and a vault room.
Your reward for slaying the Shrine's enemies is a Challenge Key, used to open the its vaults! Shrine vaults can reward you with one of 9 different enchantments.
Flame Guard 1-3 - Goes on armor - Attackers have a chance to be set ablaze - Mutually exclusive with Thorns
Puncture 1-5 - Goes on crossbows - Fired arrows ignore an amount of the victim's armor by 10% per level - Mutually exclusive with Piercing and Multishot
Pathwalker - Goes on boots - Slightly increases movement speed when walking on path blocks
Panic 1-3 - Goes on boots - When hit, has a chance to grant Speed to the victim for 10 seconds - The level of Speed granted is the same as the enchantment level
Relentless 1-3 - Goes on melee weapons (swords, axes, trident, mace) - Increases the weapon's attack speed by 0.1 per level
Rugged 1-3 - Goes on leggings - Increases step height and movement efficiency - This means you can step up a full block (plus a little extra per level) and get slowed down less by blocks like soul sand
Proficiency - Goes on tools - Increases block mining speed multiplier by 50%
Extension - Goes on tools - Increases block interaction range by 2 blocks
Reactive - Goes on shields - Blocking an attack creates a burst of wind
Sturdy - Goes on all items with durability - Durability consumption is capped at 1 (the item will not lose extra durability for incorrect use)
Thermal - Goes on chestplates - Provides immunity to magma blocks and powder snow
Open up an Ominous Shrine vault with an Ominous Challenge Key, and you can get any of the regular Shrine Vault enchantments, plus an extra 8 more.
1 in 4 shrines will be Boss Shrines, containing a single spawner for one of 5 unique Shrine Bosses.
Shrine Golem - A massive Iron Golem that attacks players on sight! - Has more health and moves faster when Ominous
Zombie Rider - A pumpkin-wearing Zombie riding a Zombie Horse! - Spawns in a group of 3 when Ominous
Illusioner - The famously unimplemented mob shows its face once more! - Creates a burst of wind if struck when Ominous
The Killer Bunny - Don't be deceived, it bites! - Is smaller and moves faster when Ominous
Silverfish Queen - A huge Silverfish that summons her subjects when hit! - Is larger and bulkier when Ominous
Defeating a Shrine Boss nets you a Boss Challenge Key- or Ominous Boss Challenge Key if you manage to take down the ominous version- which can open the Shrine Boss vaults, guaranteed to reward you with at least one Shrine enchantment! Can you defeat all the bosses and obtain every one of these special enchantments?

Thunderstruck - Goes on maces - Strikes the victim with lightning when landing a smash attack from 10 blocks or higher while exposed to the sky
Solar Veil - Goes on armor - Increases protection from damage when exposed to sunlight - Mutually exclusive with Lunar Ward
Lunar Ward - Goes on armor - Increases protection from damage when exposed to moonlight - Mutually exclusive with Solar Veil
Anti-Aerial 1-4 - Goes on maces - Increases damage dealt to airborne mobs - Mutually exclusive with other damage-type enchantments (e.g. Breach and Density)
Spearing 1-4 - Goes on tridents - Increases attack range by 0.5 blocks per level
Gale 1-3 - Goes on tridents - Creates a burst of wind when the thrown trident hits a block or mob

FINALLY UPDATED TO 1.21.4
Challenge Keys no longer have a custom texture because the way that works has been changed and I still need to figure that out.
