Capture Rods
Craftable in any crafting table. Hook mobs with this special item to capture them in a spawn egg, NBT and all. Requires the player to have at least 1 Frozen Egg in their inventory to use.

Frozen Eggs
Created by dropping an egg into a powder snow cauldron. Gets used up when the player captures a mob.

Boss Rod
Can only be given to players with the "cr_admin" tag. Use the command "/function cr:give_br" to obtain one.

Additional Features
-Spawners can now be mined with a pickaxe with the Silk Touch enchantment.

-You can now drop a captured mob's spawn egg on top of a spawner to make it spawn mobs with the original's custom NBT data. DO NOT right-click the spawner with your custom mob's egg. Sorry for the oversight!

-Custom mobs created by these spawners WILL NOT drop any items/weapons/gear you gave it before capturing it in a spawn egg (This was done to prevent item duplication), so be mindful of what you give it.

Hello!

I've been having a go using this Datapack on one of my servers but have been having an issue where hostile mobs are not able to be captured by either the capture rod or boss rod. When you attempt to capture a hostile mob, the Frozen egg is taken out of the inventory but no mob spawn egg is generate and the mob remains spawned as well.

Passive mobs work as expected however, generating the spawn egg.

Is there something I need to enable server side for this to work?

Hi, are Blazes and Wither Skeletons unable to be caught with the rod? I tried both, and my Frozen Eggs vanished as if used up, but I didn't get their spawn eggs. Great pack, by the way, thanks!

if i capture a mob will i be able to place it into a spawner and make the spawner spawn more of the mob type?

Hmm, it would seem I made a vast oversight. Yes you can put the mob spawn egg into a spawner. However, mobs with custom nbt data aren't able to spawn from spawners when you use these eggs. I did not do this in my initial testing. I will see if it is possible to have custom mobs spawn from spawners. Thank you for pointing this out, and apologies for the inconvenience!
