Cartographer Compasses adds new loot to the Cartographer's loot chest. One special compass will typically be found in each chest.
These special compasses help the adventurous player find specific items in a "getting warmer-getting colder" fashion, by letting the player know how far they are from their destination when they hold the special compass in their main hand. Players wandering closer will see the distance decrease, and players wandering further away will see the distance increase. The compass needle itself is unchanged, and will function as it always has pointing to spawn.
Some destinations provide live distance feedback. However some destinations, those that can be super far away (and thus lag the server trying to find them repeatedly) will provide distance updates only once every minute.

This datapack does not overwrite the vanilla Minecraft village_cartographer.json. It simply adds the new compass to the chest.
