Catch & Release
set free the ones you love most with this data-pack. By fishing up one of your floppy friends you will get a live version of the animal which in addition to all it's regular features also allows it to be released into the water by dropping it into a water source block. This interaction only works if a player drops the fish so make sure you do that.
Settings & Uninstalling
By doing:
/function fish:settings
You get access to the settings panel from which you can uninstall , check the version and also toggle the fish name setting.Toggling this setting will allow you to rename a "Live fish" item and have the fish when spawned use the name of the item which is pretty neat but also game-breaking since it very much devalues name-tags & renaming with buckets. It starts off but you can optionally turn it on!
This may eventually go onto vanilla extract when they finish the data pack section... check em out here: https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/vanilla-extract-4890596/

1. run the /reload command and see if an installed message pops up in chat... if not your installing it incorrectly
2. is the fish item spawning fishes but not removing the item? Have you tried one fish as throwing in a stack usually takes a little bit of time to spawn all the fish
3. Are you using mods.. try on vanilla and see
thanks for the feedback
Thank you for the bug report though and I'll definitely take a small into it when I have time... see if this is a server issue
(This looks cool)
