Combat Expansion

My very first data pack adds new combat cosmetics and a slew of new weapons, both overpowered and hilarious!

ADDITIONS
Shortswords
Shortswords attack faster than regular swords, but have a shorter range.

Longswords
Longswords have a higher attack reach than regular swords, but with lower speed.

Stone Sword Variants
You can now craft swords from regular stone, smooth stone, deepslate, blackstone, and gilded blackstone!

Explosive Arrows
Cause destruction from a distance! All you need to craft it is an arrow and a block of TNT!


Nuclear Arrows
Crafted with an arrow and 8 TNT. WARNING: extremely destructive! Use at your own risk!


Frog Arrows
Have you ever wanted to shoot frogs at your enemies? Well, this is the arrow for you!

Special Weapons
You can now create a wide range of different weapons with special effects!

Armor Trims
Adds 9 new trim materials: Blaze Rod, Coal, Phantom Membrane, Bone, Magma Cream, Prismarine Crystals, Breeze Rod, Echo Shard, and the new Nether Star Fragment
New Smithing Templates:

• Creeper (Can be found in monster rooms; duplicated with any kind of leaves)
• Chevron (Can be obtained from vaults; duplicated with concrete)
• Defender (Can be found in toolsmith, weaponsmith, and armorer village chests; duplicated with iron blocks)
• Lurker (Can be found in End City chests; duplicated with purpur or purpur pillar blocks)
• Royal (Can be obtained from ominous vaults; duplicated with tuff blocks)
• Stellar (Can be obtained from vaults; duplicated with any kind of quartz block)
• Soul (Can be found in Bastion treasure chests; duplicated with nether bricks)

Nether Star Fragment
By putting a Nether Star in the crafting table, you can now get 4 Nether Star Fragments


Weapon Trims
Adds the ability to add trims to swords, spears, and axes using any trim material.


Netherite Reinforcement
You can now reinforce iron, gold, copper, and diamond swords and axes using a Netherite Ingot and the new Netherite Reinforcement Smithing Template.


Rare Legacy Swords
Remember how you could spam click and block with swords before 1.9? These new weapons let you do that again! (NOTE: currently exclusive to Creative Mode)

QOL IMPROVEMENTS
Craftable Horse Armor
This was actually in the game for a VERY short time back in the 1.6.1 snapshots, so I added it back in! Craft horse armor with a saddle and three of the appropriate material. (Note: The Leather Horse Armor recipe has been changed for this new pattern)


Cheaper Armor Trim Smithing Template Recipes
Duplicating armor trim templates in vanilla is too expensive, so I changed the recipe so that it uses more blocks and fewer diamonds. This goes for my new templates as well! The Dune, Tide, and Spire armor trims can now be duplicated using multiple kinds of blocks like they can in Bedrock Edition.

Craftable Gilded Blackstone
You can now craft gilded blackstone by using 1 blackstone and 8 gold nuggets! Perfect for crafting the new Gilded Blackstone Sword!

• This is by no means an original idea; for me it's more of a learning project
