Entirely a vanilla Minecraft datapack for Minecraft 1.13 and 1.14+
This datapack adds function to the compass when it is anywhere in the hotbar or offhand, allowing it to display the player's compass heading, as well as current coordinates. When the player is also wearing elytra, it will additonally display the player's pitch.
Pitch is helpful to maximize the elytra efficiency. For maximum climb, a pitch of -40 degrees is ideal when boosting, and for maximum glide distance, a glide angle of -2 degrees is ideal.

The code runs 15 lines of code every tick, which is very VERY small. My personal server runs thousand upon thousands of lines of code every tick without issue. Mcfunction datapacks are WAY more efficient than command blocks ever were. All the same, people ask this kind of question all the time. I can tweek it to run once every second. Look for an update coming soon. :)
