One of the chief complaints during the 1.17 Caves & Cliffs texting phase is that copper and it's various building blocks are way too expensive. Even with a drop in the cost of Copper Blocks in 20w46a, building any kind of decorative roof out of copper requires a tedious amount of mining to obtain the necessary ingredients. However, with this Datapack and Resource pack combo, you can fix this.
It also allows for you to manually tarnish the copper; smelting any copper block (except waxed) will advance the weathering by one stage, and furthermore, you can clean copper using an amethyst shard to reset it back to the clean stage
One copper ingot can be crafted into 9 Copper Plating. This can be placed as a copper block, or put in a square to obtain Cut Copper. Copper Plating is actually a Copper Block, but with a special item texture like how cauldron's have 2D textures in your inventory. While some may claim that this is now too overpowered, I believe that functionless building blocks like copper blocks shouldn't be very expensive at all.
