I never find myself using a gold tool of any sort. So I made them a little more... desirable.

How it works.
When you craft gold tools, they will be enchanted with Mending by default. If your enchantment is not appearing, hold it in your main hand (required by the script to trigger). This will enchant them with Mending. When using the tool, they will repair themselves, making them unbreaking in a sense.

Not a bug, but a feature...
Bulk crafting the same type of tool will result in only one tool being enchanted. Aka, crafting 2 pickaxes will only enchant 1, so make sure to hold it before crafting another. This does not happen when crafting different types of tools. For instance, you can craft a pickaxe, a hoe, and a shovel, and they will still enchant as expected without issue.

It was mentioned by user imalittlhigh (source) that once enchanted, it can not be enchanted again. Well, what if you want to enchant your gold tools? Well, if you craft 2 of the same type of tool, one will be enchanted automatically when holding it on your main hand, and then the second will not be enchanted when held. This is also assuming you don't enchant one tool before the other by shifting crafting / dragging it into your hand slot.

You can also use the grindstone to remove the enchantment to enchant it again, then use an anvil to merge the 2 pickaxes together. I'd like to think of it as a balancing act for the free enchantment. Craft 2.

How the script works:
TL/DR:
After enchanting, the scoreboard keeping track of crafting sets to 0, which won't trigger until a new tool of that type is crafted.
Long Desc:
It checks for when the tool is crafted, and when it is, it adds to a scoreboard. It will keep adding to the scoreboard until you hold the tool that was crafted. Once held, if the tool has full durability and has not been enchanted, it will apply the enchantment and set the scoreboard counter to 0, which will cause the enchant trigger not to trigger the mending enchant when you hold the 2nd crafted tool.

Have fun! Thanks!

cool idea!
Problem is you cant enchant them if they are already enchanted ^^
Maybe add the "Super Charged" after they have been enchanted?
That would also mean you cant instantly have "god" tools

imalittlehigh,

I can see where you're coming from. I forgot that you can't re-enchant after an item has been enchanted. Oops.

I guess a work around would be to craft 2 gold pickaxes, use the grindstone on one (You'll get a little bit of XP), and enchant the unenchanted gold pickaxe. That way, you can use the anvil to merge your enchantments together.

So, in a sense, you'll need to craft 2 pickaxes, but I believe it's worth the mending + other enchantments.

The "Super Charged" message is part of the item's lore tag. I'm not sure if it can be positioned anywhere else but at the bottom of the page, but do let me know if there is a way add text to the bottom of the name?

Thanks for the insight. If I should find a way to make the pack better, I will. 😊

Until next time,

Just noticed an issue ^^

If you craft 2 picks, then hold one, it will be modified.
The second pick wont be modified tho ^^

Im guessing thats cause you bound the conversion to having crafted a pick, and ur not checking mainhand constantly

heyo,
there is to my knowledge no way to place the lore above the enchants.
You could of course hide the enchants, then re add them as lore under your lore, tho im not sure if that tiny fix is worth the effort :D

And your method of adding enchants actually seems good since that also removes part of the "op" thing ^^
