Steve heads can be found semi-rarely in strongholds.
Sign a book (text inside doesn't matter) and title it the username of the player you want the head of.
Throw your signed book on the ground with a player head to assign that name to the head!

(I.e. If you want Notch's head, find a head in a stronghold, sign a book and make the title "Notch," throw the head and book together on the ground to receive your custom head)

Instruction file included. Multiplayer compatible. I'm open to suggestions for improvements.

I've been looking for this for a while!

I'm currently changing the datapack a bit, because I thought it would be a bit boring if they were only in strongholds, but still thanks a lot!

I am unable to find a Steve head anywhere in a stronghold. Could you make this so it works with any type of head, for example, a zombie or creeper head?

Looks like it's fun and adds an interesting, unique twist to the game, but, if this is not a feature already, please make it so that you can custom-make your own heads. Thanks in advance if you add this in.

Heads at the moment go through Mojang's servers for their textures, and I dont believe they have any intention to change that, sorry. Although, as a workaround, I believe you can change your skin to what you want, get your player's skull, then change your skin back and the skull will stay as whatever it was when it was created

Really? Because I've seen data packs/texture packs that work just because of being able to choose a custom head...
