How do I set it up?

Just add this data pack along with all your others and reload the server or your Minecraft world. You'll see a welcome message with the command to run to see the help menu.

How do I place a chest?

---

To set a chest, first place a chest where you want it to be, then place a sign on the chest, and set the price in this format:

Item
Stack Size
Cost in Diamonds
<Leave Blank>The first three lines of the sign can be in any format your server agrees on, just be sure to leave the bottom line blank since it will be replace with the "Buy" button!

After that, wax the sign. Your chest is now set!

How do I stock a chest?

To stock a chest, you must put the items in the stack size you want to sell in the chest. Chests must also be filled from the bottom slot up. Be sure to leave the first slot in the chest empty! This is so it will tell the player when the item is sold out. If you do not leave a slot empty, it will simply refund the diamonds if a purchase is attempted. It will not display the sold out message, however.

How do I break/move a chest, or change the price?

To break, move, or change the price of a chest, simply break the chest and set it up again! Be sure you are within a 1 block radius of the chest to interact with it.

What are the key differences between this shop data pack and all the others?

---

The big differences between this shop data pack and all the other ones out there are that this one only requires a single chest, you do not need to leave diamonds in it, and it allows for nearly a full chest (31 stacks) of items to be stocked all at once. It also is the only shop data pack out there that prevents theft, both by breaking the chest and placing a hopper or hopper minecart under it, or blowing it up with TNT. Only the owner of the chest may open or break the chest, and no one can place a hopper or hopper minecart under a set shop chest. Players who are not the owner of a chest also cannot modify the price of items in it, even if they break and reset the sign.
