Edit the items.mcfunction file and add your own "give @s minecraft:example" commands to define what gear players spawn with.

Use the command /advancement revoke PLAYERNAME only server26startinggear:root to give them another round of starting items.



If you joined before the pack was installed the pack does not count that. It also assumes you player spawn in the overworld.

I do not see why not. You have to generate a give command (if you are using custom data on the items) for the correct minecraft version using something like mcstacker.net since the syntax for components changed a few version ago.

You should just try it out and see.
