Want to have nice Custom Trees instead of the boring Vanilla ones?
Here you go.

If you want Trees that are more fitting for Vanilla style worlds try this pack.
With this Datapack every sapling that grows will grown into a Custom Tree (multiple variants and rotation per Type).
Just grow the sapling as you normally would (will also work with natural random tick growth)
The Custom Trees need a bit more Bonemeal / Time to grow.
Single Sapling and 2x2 supported.
Beehives will also generate like they do with vanilla trees if there are flowers nearby (and a viable biome).
If you plan on using this pack in a Survival World, I highly recommend trying it out in another World first, because these Trees are big and will override Blocks that are in their way!
Your are able to craft 4 Logs from 3 Wood, since most trees are made of Wood, not Logs.
If you want to change the default growth of saplings back to vanilla trees klick the corresponding option in chat after running:
/function custrees:config
If you place a Sapling and see bonemeal at its root it has been converted to a Custom Sapling.

To grow Vanilla Trees sneak when placing the Sapling.
This can be changed so you need to sneak to get the custom Trees.
If you want to remove this pack, make sure to remove all placed custom saplings before disabling the datapack!
If you don't, you might end up with item_displays stuck in your world!
I have tested the tps with 0, 10, 50 & 100 custom Saplings, and the result was the exact same all 4 times. If you have tps issues feel free to add me on discord so we can take a look, but I couldnt find any performance hits.
The Trees used in this Pack are from this Map and have been modified by me!
The Custom Trees have a special property that Dark Oak had when it was released =)

I just downloaded your Datapack and noticed it doesn't work in 1.20.6 somehow.. I checked the folders and saw that the random roll (loot_table .json) is broken (the "set_nbt", is not working anymore) so I fixed it with deleting the loot table .json and wrote in the "get" file from the "rand" folder following : execute store result score @s custree_rand run random roll 1..99Now its working, you could update this :)
But thanks for this incredible useful Datapack
