Delayed Despawn Datapack for Minecraft Java Edition

📖 About

Have you ever gone caving and got blown up by a Creeper? Did you lose all your items despite claiming you arrived within 5 minutes? This Datapack aims to fix that worry!

📝 Features

This small lightweight datapack changes the normal 5-minute despawn timer to 10 minutes so you can retrieve your items easier.

A update future will include a toggleable ability to make items that are close to despawning glow and/or emit a sound to help you find them easier, however this will not be included in Version 1.0.0

Be sure to keep an eye on the changelog to see when these features get added!

❗Important Information

This Datapack will cause extra lag on servers as it applies the 10-minute despawn timer to all items, not only ones dropped by players on death.

📂 Installation

Be sure to install this Datapack to the right location or it will not work properly.

The correct file path is saves/[world]/datapacks
