You know those unpaved paths you walk on to cut corners or cut through an area where there should be a paved path? Those are called desire lines and this data pack adds them to your world.

The more you walk through an area, the more that route will gradually degrade, leaving a permanent path for you to follow.

But, is this compatible with paper for minecraft multiplayer?

I have not tested it in multi-player, but I dont see any reason it wouldn't work.

As for compatibility with paper, I could not say for certain because I dont know what that is, but the only reason it may be incompatible with another datapack would be conflicts in namespace or scoreboard names, which I dont think is all that likely.
