This datapacks adds the function of editing the signs of your Minecraft world, so changing the signs' text will no longer be breaking them and putting them again. Besides with this datapack you will be able to put bold text, colors, italics, change the font... a wish come true if you are a fan of signs
To start you will have to hold an empty book and quill. Looking at a sign you right click and you will get a new item.
With this item in mianhand when you look at a sign it will be marked with some particles. If you press sifht with the item in the mainhand you will paste the text. If you have it in the offhand you will copy the sign's text.
Right click will open the interface of a book, each page is a line of the sign whose text is in JSON format ({"text": "<put your text here>"}), it is this characteristic that allows you to put the bold text, for example. You can use a JSON text generator for minecraft like this to make the process easier for you.
Dropping the sign editor on an anvil next to a bucket of water will cause you to copy the text and erase the sign. If instead of a bucket with water it is an axe, you will copy the text and break the sign.
Dropping this item on a grindstone will undo the change.
Signing the sign editor will lock it and you will only be able to paste text, not copy or edit
