Just a bunch of small changes to make the game less tedious, and smooth out the progression curve.
This datapack has support for but does not require the Quark mod, you can still use it in vanilla.

Progression:
- a new way to get the trident. craft it with things you get from completing an ocean monument. and drowned will never drop their tridents now.
- shulker shells have a small chance to be in bastion, ancient city, desert pyramid, and jungle temple chests
- tall grass has a 3% chance of dropping carrots, potatoes or beetroot seeds
- can pick up budding amethyst blocks with a silk touch pickaxe
- don't need silk touch to get the full bookshelf back. also works for all the bookshelf variants in the quark mod if you're using that
- don't need silk touch to pickup whole ender chest
- don’t need silk touch to pickup chiseled bookshelf
- all colors of concrete powder can be turned into solid concrete by putting them alone in a crafting menu
- all chainmail armour pieces can be crafted
- chains are cheaper to craft
- glass bottles are cheaper to craft
- more sandstone from crafting
- more fire charges from crafting
- leads don't need a slimeball to craft
- condensing ice is only 2x2
- crafting slime blocks is only 2x2
- grass blocks can be crafted from dirt and bone meal
- podzol blocks can be crafted from dirt and any leaves
- mycelium crafting recipe
- cobweb crafting recipe
- crafting recipe for saddle
- crafting recipe for village bell
- enchanted golden apple crafting recipe
- sandstone, red sandstone, blue ice, packed ice, nether wart, clay, glowstone, amethyst, quartz, brick and nether brick blocks can be decompressed back to their raw forms
- jack o'lantern crafting recipe is now shapeless
- rails are crafted with copper instead of iron
- lanterns are crafted with copper instead of iron
- hoppers are crafted with copper instead of iron
- compasses are crafted with nuggets instead of ingots
- can craft cobblestone to gravel
- can craft gravel to sand
- all saplings can be crafted into dead bushes
- emerald ore has the same drop rate as copper ore
- wither skeletons have a 33% chance of dropping their head
- cows, chickens, creepers, spiders, skeletons, blaze, endermen and ghasts always drop at least 1 of their common items
- magma cubes drop at least 1 magma cream when they split
- dead bush always drops at least 1 stick
- warden won’t drop anything
- apples have much higher drop chances from leaves
- glowstone always drops 4 dust
- mushroom blocks can be picked up with shears
- mushroom blocks will always drop 1 mushroom of their type
- when sheared, tall grass drops 1 tall grass instead of 2 short grass

I mentioned quark's chests because quark adds variants of chests for all wood types (spruce, birch, acacia, etc.). And before v1.2 I forgot to account for it in my hopper recipe, so it would only work with the one vanilla chest item, but now it will work with any type of chest.
