This lightweight datapack allows you to fall slowly thanks to your friends the parrots, which thanks to a leather chestplate will not fall off your shoulders.

You must wear a leather chestplate and have two parrots on your shoulders, both things regardless of their colors. Then, the Slow Falling efect will be given to you indefinitely, until you sleep, enter to water, receive damage (excluding fall damage, obviously) or fly (only in creative mode).


I haven´t tested any version other than 1.18.1, feel free to try and comment, since it's based on a single and simple function/command. In the future i'll add some features that i've in mind, but feel free to suggest any.

Based on a feature of the fabric mod named as Port's Parrots Plus, by SadisticPort (which also is based on a Minecraft's vanilla feature).
