Just a simple data pack that allows the smelting of rotten flesh. I've kinda been a fan of the flesh to leather mods/data packs over the years but in part felt that it was a bit overpowered due to the 1 to 1 trade-off. I've made it so that rotten flesh now smelts down into rabbit hide which then you can use four of to craft one leather.

Just place the zip in the data pack folder of your save file and it should work automatically.

Update #2 : by lucasx1215 03/05/2021 5:18:54 pmMarch 5, 2021 @ 10:18 pm UTC

Corrected zip file so that it should be able to be placed directly into datapack folder without needing to be unzipped

A suggestion for this pack, change the nbt data of the item that is cooked so that instead of rabbit hide, it shows up as "zombie hide" or something.

I thought about doing that but I'm fairly new with data packs as a whole, and I wasn't sure if doing that would allow them to still function the same way rabbit hides would.

I believe that the ZIP file is nested and does not work when importing, unless you unzip it again and rezip the contained folder.

You sir are correct. Thank you for pointing out this oversight on my part. I have corrected it on this data pack (as well as my other). So both should be able to be placed zips as is directly in the datapack folder to run.
