How to install Minecraft Data Packs

Datapack contents:

This data pack is one that adds another dimension to the vanilla Minecraft world. It is a floating island dimension similar to the one in the end. However, it is completely a single biome (The Plains). Please note that this is a highly experimental feature and could cause disruptions to your world so it is recommended to backup your world frequently.

Downloading the data pack:

  1. Click the download button, a bar should pop up showing a download of a file called (floating_island_dimention-plains.zip) this is the correct file.
  2. Go to the downloads directory and unzip the folder
  3. Then open the game and go to the world you wish to put the data pack on do not enter the world you should see a button named EDIT when you left-click the world once click on it.
  4. Click the open-world folder then a window should pop-up go to the data pack folder and place the unzipped file into it.
  5. You are able to enter the world normally and use the data pack.
Using the data pack in-game:
  1. You should have cheats on.
  2. Write [​/execute in dimensions:plains_floating_island run tp ~~~].
  3. If the command does not work, it means the data pack didn't get installed properly.
  4. However, if this does not happen you will be teleported to the dimension and it is working.
NOTE: I will be making more dimensions similar to this soon.

Is is actually in vanilla as well. when you want to make a world you can choose floating islands and then choose the biome.
