This datapack makes a "friendly" mob also get affected by beacon just like the player.
Due to some limitations, the search range is spherical instead. So they will not get a potion effect if the beacon is underground.

The datapack will automatically register beacon that you place as a part of this datapack. You will need to break-and-replace beacon that is already in the world to have this behavior.

Installation


1. Go to the GitHub releases page by pressing the "Download" button.
2. Expand "Assets" and click on link labeled friendly-beacon-vX.X.X.zip.
3. Go to "datapacks" folder inside your world save folder.
4. Move the downloaded zip file into "datapacks" folder.

Uninstallation


Simply run this command /function boomber:friendly_beacon/uninstall to remove scoreboard objectives from your world.
