Beacon Boxing


One of the most frustrating and time consuming activities is deconstructing a beacon. The beacon base blocks all have a high hardness and take a long time to mine even with Haste II.

This datapack fixes this by allowing you to box them up in shulker boxes.

Simply place an empty shulker box on top of a powered beacon and it will deconstruct it, placing all of the beacon base blocks and the Beacon in the shulker box.

The datapack uses a super hopper protected by temporary barrier blocks to collect all of the blocks so make sure the 3 blocks above the beacon and 1 on each side are clear because they will be replaced.

Occasionally blocks may slip through the gaps when being collected but nothing will be lost.

Beacon Boxing will box up all 4 different sized beacon bases.

Please tell me of any bugs or issues.

So it says compatibility for 1.16-1.17 but when I add it to a 1.17 world it does not seem to work, was this not intentional or am I doing something wrong?

I never updated the page to say 1.17 would work, that must have been automatic. It has not been tested in 1.17 and thank you for figuring out that it doesn't work! I will now get going on a fix.

I'm notmnormally playing survival, so i don't use this often, but I can imagine it beeing very useful.

does this mean if I have a double beacon I need to remove 1 beacon before doing this otherwise it will delete the second one?

for a double beacon it will ignore the 2nd beacon and the extra blocks from that side. It only replaces the blocks above the beacon
