Ever wished Minecraft had more options for health regeneration?

Ever wanted more uses for the mostly useless bowl item?

Ever wished the nether fungi could be edible?

I bring you Healthy Stews!



This very simple datapack adds a handful more recipes, all of which output the suspicious stew item with custom potion effects, all balanced for survival gameplay.

Sweet Broth is regenerates slightly more health than vanilla suspicious stew made with oxeye daisy. (sweet berries + brown and red mushrooms + bowl)

Bone Broth gives brief resistance at the cost of a little slowness. (3 bones + brown and red mushrooms + bowl)

Bubbling Stew instantly heals a handful of hearts and briefly gives extra golden hearts. (warped fungus + brown and red mushrooms + bowl)

Hearty Stew gives extended regeneration, a much better version of Sweet Broth. (crimson fungus + brown and red mushrooms + bowl)

This datapack was originally made for an SMP with gamerule naturalRegeneration set to false. The idea was to give easily obtainable early-game healing that was balanced so that the game would still be a challenge. However, the datapack should work just fine for regular vanilla gameplay.
