The more items you wear, the slower you'll be. If you're too heavy, you'll start to see blurry and then die.
I know the weights aren't the actual weights, but because the Minecraft character can carry so much, it's very hard to balance a datapack like this.
• 1kg : Simple items such as food, mobs etc... As well as some blocks.
• 5kg : Most of the blocks in the game such as stone, ores etc...
• 50kg : Tools, armor pieces etc... As well as some blocks.
Impact on movement speed :
• 0kg to 125kg : Speed 1 effect
• 126kg to 750kg : Nothing
• 751kg to 1500kg : Slowness 1 effect
• 150kg1 to 3000kg : Slowness 2 effect
• 3001kg to 4500kg : Slowness 3 effect
• 4501kg to 6500kg : Slowness 4 effect
• 6501kg to 8000kg : Slowness 5 effect
• 8001kg to 10000kg : Slowness 6 effect
• 10000+kg : Slowness 7 effect
Impact on jump height :
• 8001kg to 9000kg : Jump height divided by 2
• 9001kg to 10000kg : Jump height divided by 4
• 10001kg to 11000kg : Jump height divided by 6
• 11001+kg : You can't jump anymore
Other impacts :
• 10001+kg : Hunger 1 effect
• 11001+kg : Nausea effect
• 11251+kg : Blindness effect
• 11500+kg : Wither effect

I deleted the ones I didn't want (which were blocks, and other things), and categorized the armor and tools in light, medium or heavy, and it didn't work :(
Do you know a solution?
Thank you

and yuh I made an account just to say this becasue I think it is that good
Also PlanetMinecraft doesn't support uploading files independently of the versions on a single page and that really annoys me.
Moreover, I don't usually modify the datapacks I made for YouTubers. I sometimes update them and fix bugs, but nothing more.
Sorry, bad joke xD
To give you a concrete example : Filling your inventory with apples is nothing compared to filling it with gold blocks, from a mass point of view. So I tried to mix several possibilities to try to have a datapack with a minimum of balance. (Even if I'm not especially happy with the final result).
In the UK, a stone, abbreviated st. is a unit of measurement which is equivalent to 14 pounds.
In France we mainly use the Kilogram. ^^
I'm actually in the US, but just know a lot of measurement systems.
We don't use the stone here.
I know the weights aren't the actual weights, but because the Minecraft character can carry so much, it's very hard to balance a datapack like this.
I wanted to make the blocks heavier by logic (one cubic meter) but I wanted the non-stackable equipment to have an important weight.
To tell you the truth, I had even started to make for each item according to the density of the material used. But it took too long to do that to end up with something that didn't feel balanced.
