Infestication!

This data pack adds a few features to make silverfish much more invasive, dangerous, and overall a big hassle to deal with.


Features:

Whenever a silverfish is damaged by a player, there is a 10% chance that the silverfish duplicates. This duplication is marked by particles and a special sound effect.

All silverfish attacks also inflict the infested status effect for 20 seconds.

Silverfish have 10 health instead of 6, and have increased damage as well as speed.

Silverfish within 3 blocks of an undead mob with burrow inside of them, doing constant damage to the host and occasionally spawning silverfish.

Spawning:

Whenever a spider spawns, there is a 10% chance that the spider will instead be 3 silverfish.

Advancements:

There are 5 new advancements for you to obtain as you fight off the silverfish invasion.

Optimization:

There are a few small features that improve lag friendliness, such as a duplication cap.


This data pack may be subject to smaller updates that improve lag or balancing, but as of now the data pack is mostly complete.
