Gravestone packs are becoming more popular, I've noticed. Especially in mods. Here's my take on it!

With this beautiful™ pack, gravestones will now spawn in your world! Now, I wouldn't want to inconvenience everyone with this, so I made it completely customizable! You want your gravestone to only last a few minutes? An hour? Forever? You want to get all your XP back? None of it? I got you covered! When you run the command /trigger GravestoneConfig in your world, you will be allowed to interact with a config that gives you full customization of the amount of XP you get back AND the length of the gravestone. You can only open your own gravestone, too, which stops people from taking from your grave! Happy packing!

Hello again! I'm sorry guys, I've taken a HUGE PMC break, but I want to get back into pack creation! Now, I'm hitting you with a Gravestone update!



Changes in 2.0.0 Snapshot #1

  • Deleted all code
  • Added it again, but like, more efficient and better

Gravestone Config

  • Due to some small limitations, there is currently NOT a config for gravestones. This will be coming soon-ish, though, don't you worry!

Known Limitations

  • There is no config menu, but it WILL be added soon!
  • You retain XP on death for now. Not a BIG issue, but it's there
  • Currently, on clicking on your grave, items don't magically go back to their original slot. This was to fix a bug in the original version, but behavior will be improved!

I used this and it left a grave that i couldnt open. rip. also coulnt figure out how to get rid of it

i still dont know how to pick up my grave ;-;, pls help. im playing on optifine 1.20.1 on an aternos server

added: i cant use the /trigger GravestoneConfig

There is currently no GravestoneConfig due to some limitations in the update I made. Aternos is known to have issues with datapacks also, and sadly there seems to be odd multiplayer behavior anyways. I'm sorry, I'll try to fix this when I can but right now it's super finnicky and I don't have alts to spare

How do yo configure the duration? It seems so, that the grave detectet another, old, one and my Items seem to be lost...

Currently using this datapack in a server with some friends. It seemed to work well, but now it's either dropping all the items near a random player, or when retrieving our grave it gives us items from someone else's instead.

Decided to just remove it. Now it's only giving everyone the same exact loadout.

Really sorry to hear that! I have trouble testing it in multiplayer as I only have one alt account handy, but I might try to test it for multiplayer better in the future. Sorry again if this was really inconvenient, totally understand uninstalling!

It works pretty good in the overworld. However, I just died in the nether, went to get my stuff and it gave me all of my levels but none of my stuff.
