Just the little things


Add some small QoL features that make your world just a little bit more lively. Gravity affected blocks now fall in sync, pet your pets, smokey furnace-like blocks and fireflies?? No huge revolutionary features, but it sure does make your world just a little bit more immersive.


Additions

  • Gravity-affected blocks now fall in sync!
  • Mangrove Swamps and Normal Swamps now have "Firefly" particles that show up at night.
  • Lit Furnaces, Smokers, and Blast Furnaces now sometimes emit campfire particles.
  • You can pet your cats and dogs!

Notes

  • To pet your cats and dogs, Shift + Right Click on them.
  • Block 0 -64 0 and 0 -63 0 will be replaced, make sure they're nothing of importance!
  • Gravity-affected blocks syncing will only apply to falling_block entities in a 30 block radius.
  • Furnace-like blocks emitting campfire particles will only emit when a player is near them.

What do you mean by Gravity block changes and petting dogs and cats? isn't petting them already possible?

This datapack adds a small change to how gravity blocks fall (Sand, Red Sand, Gravel, Anvils, and Concrete Powder). Instead of waiting for them to update and fall one by one, all of them start to fall at once.

As for petting cats and dogs, both are not vanilla features. You may have confused taming cats and dogs to petting them. Petting them is a purely aesthetic QoL feature that does not change the behavior of either mob.
