Surely the lapis blocks you can make with this would be good in a build! Or use it for enchanting. What else can you use lapis for? This geode's concept was suggested by peA_sh0ter on PlanetMinecraft.
These geodes are comprised of stone lined with lapis ore in the center, a middle layer of calcite, and a shell of granite. Because of how this pack is configured, anything that can replace stone may appear within the geode (e.g. stone types, ores). I believe it adds to the variability and lengthens the novelty upon discovery.

Where to find them:
These geodes spawn between y8 and y48 in desert biomes.
Is it balanced?
Probably. These geodes had a mighty will of their own, and they spawned unexpectedly frequently despite me lowering their spawning chance. They are often locked behind solid ground, meaning you will have to mine a good chunk of stone to find them. This is based on my observations, and you might find them exposed to caves as any amethyst geode may.
Want to adjust the rarity?
Navigate to ~/Lapis Geodes/data/tbm_lapis_geodes/worldgen/placed_feature. Then, adjust the "chance" value to your liking. The game computes this as 1 / chance, meaning the greater the value, the more rare the geode will become.
