Light Blocks in Java Edition

I attempted to replicate the light block in Java. It uses retextured torches and a couple commands from the data pack.
So please download the data pack AND the texture pack

Once you get in the game, all you have to do is type the commands
/reload
then
/function light:give
and you have everything you need.

Right click to use the eraser and light block.

The torches are set to spawn at the player's feet. The eraser erases the torches in front of you for up to ten blocks.
You can delete the torches by hand too but they can be hard to find since they're invisible. You can also place the torches by hand but the light block allows you to place them mid air.
