Manhunt by EiTiRu is my personal take on the Minecraft Manhunt Genre. In this challenge, one player (the runner) attempts to beat the game on a single life, while one or more hunters, with unlimited respawns, work to stop them.The hunters are equipped with the new locator bar that can track the runner’s movements and portal Locations.

The Runner's Goal is to defeat the Ender Dragon.The Hunter's Goal ist to kill the Runnner.

<< How to Start a Game >>

1. Install the Datapack in your Datapck folder inside the World Save.
2. /reload
3. Open the book and either assign teams manually or via the Assign Teams button.
4. (Optional) Use the Get Equiment Button
5. Start Game

<< Custom Advancements >>

There are three Technoblade themed Advancements.
[​Legendary Duel] = Kill another player while playing Manhunt.
[​Pig with Crown] = Equip a golden helmet and a chestplate.
[​Potatoe War] = Eat 128 baked potatoes.

There are three Advancements themed after Twitch Manhunt by Papaplatte, OhnePixel and XQC
[Head Start] = [Papaplatte] Die 3 times as a Hunter.
[Fast Escape] = [XQC] Get Dolphins Grace
[The [XQC] Gambit] = [XQC] Die to the Enderdragon in the End.

There are two Let's Play themed Advancements.
[First we need wood...] = Pick up logs.
[...then we need stone.] = Pick up Cobblestone.



Installation / Uninstall


No mods are required—this pack works entirely within Minecraft's vanilla datapack system and is designed for compatibility with most other datapacks. Installation is simple: just drag and drop the content of the ZIP file into your world’s datapacks folder and reload your game.

- switched to Version 1.21.7 and 1.21.8
- added a give function for the setup book
- added the "The way of the Let's Play" Advancement Tree
- added the "The way of the Runner" Advancement Tree
- added the "The way of the Hunter" Advancement Tree
- added advancements surrounding the Manhunt Streams from Papaplatte, OhnePixel and XQC
- fixed an issue where the text message announcing the Hunter and Runner did not work correctly

Thank you, EiTiRu! The pack is awesome and simple! I found it randomly while I was searching for something else. I could not figure out how to change the color by myself anyway. I could not get the datapack to work without unzipping it; otherwise, it works as expected. One suggestion that would be convenient for the the equip function would be customizable hotbars and armor slots, such as the saved hotbars feature that is vanilla, although loading differently depending on who are the hunters and the runners . Btw, I appreciate you including Technoblade; it's a nice addition, imo!

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, you have to unzip the Datapack in order for it to work. I changed the the main text to reflect this. I plan on making many things more customizable in the future. Thank you for your take on this.

Manhunt itself has never been played by him. But it was something played by his friends such as Dream. I included custom Advancements that are inspired by Techno. That is why I included it in this Jam.
