Please watch the above video. 🙂
Animals no longer drop meat, crops can't be harvested, leaves don't drop apples, even loot chests will never contain food. Then how do you replenish your hunger? EAT ORES!
Coal, Iron, Gold, Diamonds, Emeralds, Redstone, Lapis, and Quartz can now be eaten. No questions asked.
100% Multiplayer Compatible, just make sure every player has the Resource Pack.
HOWEVER...
Due to Minecraft's limitations, you will be given a written book with clickable text inside it, clicking on the name of an ore will convert it to a "Non Edible" form, so you can actually craft with it. Example: Want to make an Iron Sword? Well you'll need to take your Iron Ingots and convert them into "Real" Iron Ingots using that book. You'll understand once you get in the game. It's not the best system, but it works. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Blame Mojang. Also, Emeralds from Villager trades will give you "Real" Emeralds that you can't eat, but if you craft an Emerald Block, place it, then break it, it'll drop 9 Edible Emeralds, you're welcome.
