More options to decorate your armor with! (And optional buffs alongside them)

For Minecraft 1.20+

Datapack Features:

• Adds 8 more materials to trim your armor with!

• Allows you to trim armor with the same material the armor is made out of!

• Added materials:
  • Sculk (Echo Shard)
  • Lava (Lava Bucket)
  • Coal (Coal)
  • Ender (Ender Pearl)
  • Purpur (Popped Chorus Fruit)
  • Slime (Slime Ball)
  • Honey (Honeycomb)
  • Prismarine (Prismarine Shard)
• Also adds buffs to certain trim materials!
(Disable by running "/function more_trim_materials:disable_buffs")
(Re-enable by running "/function more_trim_materials:enable_buffs")

• Added buffs:
  • Full Diamond Trim: Resistance 1
  • Full Netherite Trim: Fire Resistance
  • Full Lava Trim: Set Touched Mobs on Fire
  • Full Emerald Trim: Hero of the Village
  • Full Purpur Trim: Anti-Levitation
  • Any Honey Trim: Pacify Nearby Bees
  • Amethyst Boots Trim: Amethyst Footsteps
  • Prismarine Chestplate Trim: Anti-Mining Fatigue
  • Prismarine Leggings Trim: Dolphin's Grace
  • Sculk Helmet Trim: Anti-Darkness Effect

The datapack is no longer functional im not sure why or if this is just me but it wont let me use the new materials to trim

The datapack works as intended. Adding trim materials require you to restart the world instead of just reloading.

what do you mean when you say restart your world? Do you mean you have to start with a fresh world?

No absolutely not. I just mean if you're in singleplayer: you need to relog. If you're using a multiplayer server: you need to restart it!

one buff i would like to see is specifically for when leather armour has trims. if leather armour has netherite trim, it should get the armour value of the netherite and the knockback resistance. same with diamond, gold, iron, etc.

Not doing:
- Copper trims increase chance of getting struck by lightning / Reason: Unable to detect for thunderstorms
- Gold trims pacify nearby piglins / Reason: Unable to control piglin aggro

besides doing TRIM effects, any chance of having full set of armor buffs?

I use an older mod that does add set armor buff effects but sadly it does not work in conjunction with this mod.

but back to the main topic.
  • Glowstone (glowstone dust) - makes you glow <3
  • Turtle (scute) - on helm gives night vision 0 0 while in water & on body gives resistance 0 1, on legs gives slowness 0 0 and on feet gives regen 0 0.
  • Webhead (Sting) - lets you spider climb up vertical surfaces up to 2 blocks high +1block higher for each piece of armor with this trim.
