    No Caves

Don't want caves? You're in luck! This datapack removes them.

There are still underground features and structures (Ancient Cities, Strongholds, Mineshafts, Amethyst Geodes, Lava Pools, Ores, etc.) but no more caves.

Now with support for versions 1.18-1.20.3!
Additionally, it now works for Amplified and Large Biome Presets!

    Other Versions

    Retro Caves

This version removes all of the noise caves added in 1.18, leaving only the classic caves!

    No Old Caves

Opposite to the version above, this keeps all the new caves added in 1.18 and removes all of the old caves.

If it is requested, I can make versions that remove any or all underground structures/features.

    Hi,
I would just like to say that I appreciate how responsive you are to comments. I love that you take suggestions to your datapacks and dont just shut them down or ignore them. I look forward to seeing what else you come up with.

You can't totally remove underwater caves. There is an only old caves version though.

Can you make a version with the retro caves and that the bedrock is at y0 like in versions 1.17 and before?. y0 is the bottom of the world.

Oh yeah I definitely could but I'm kind of overcrowding the versions there hmm. I might add it as an extra file.

I do have a question though, if I do that, how should I handle deep slate?

Normally deep slate replaces stone at y=0 and below, so if I did that then there would be a lot less deep slate.

In 1.17 deep slate was treated like andesite / diorite / granite. But I could also just move the deep slate layer to be half the bottom of the world again (at y=32 and below).

    What do you think?

Hello, is it possible to keep caves in the game, just make them rare, like there to be 10% of caves? I am triing to find something like that and i had no luck. Is it possible in minecraft, or is there something what forces you tu make it 100% or 0% of caves?
