    Aetherial Islands

This world generation data pack seeks to redefine the standards for floating island generation. Most floating islands data packs aren't really island shaped. Not to mention they don't have hills, rivers, or oceans. But this one does by rethinking 3d noise.

With this data pack, you'll be able to experience soaring islands, with rivers and mountains. Flat plains and caves. Structures on rolling hills, and more.

All of the structures and biomes generate with this world type, as they should.

However, you may get issues with some structures generating in the void, but...

Don't like Void Structures? Use the Optional "No Void Structures" mod!

This stops any weirdness with structures generating broken and cut off in the void.

Does this work with insert mod name here?

If that mod changes the terrain, no. If that mod adds biomes, it should work, but the biome makers may not have made some parts of it compatible with other mods. Unfortunately, Minecraft has the biome surface builder (e.g. sand in desert, grass in plains) in the same file as the terrain generation, which means you can't combine them in vanilla alone, unless you make a compatibility pack for a specific mod.

Amazing, hopefully this becomes popular and people use it for fun maps. Reminds me of the old biodome mods.

this is very cool! It's very similar to the world generation of a different game I grew up playing called Portal Knights- a coincidence I'm sure, but it gave me a nostalgia trip lol
